Summer draws to a close

Summer is slowly drawing to a close.  It is one where I have been fortunate to have been able to spend most of it at home. Travel, like everything else has slowed down.  Garden is finished but not after a bumper crop of huge tomatoes.  The dogs are happy and we were able to spend each day together.

Last month saw the Shepherd clan come together in Saint George, Utah.  What a great time was had. 11 grand kids 9 adult and Papa (I'm not sure I count as an adult...). though short, the trip was  a great opportunity to be together as a family.  The trip to Zions National Park will be a memory held very dearly.  What a wonderful day.  The kids will not soon forget the fun in the pool and slingshot the water balloons.  Omi's special towels and the food!  what a great time.

As a father and mother we could not be more proud of our family.  The Lord has certainly blessed Dena and I.

We look forward to December where many of us we will again be together to celebrate the addition of a new member of the family.

May posting

We must live a pretty boring life. There is just not much going on to post about. It is finaly summer. The garden is planted and the grass is green. I go back and forth to Nove Scotia at least once a month, the same as last year. I heard mr nephew Matt Holton is getting married this August. Acute bride he met in Washington. We should all plan to meet up there this year. We are looking forward to next month for Ashley and Ethan's number 4. She is due to arrive in late June. Hey, maybe she can share her Uncle Josh's birthday on the 29th.

Okay its March

Okay so its March and the end of winter is fast approaching. I've spent most of it on the road in Nova Scotia. Mom has spent it working two jobs and caring for two dogs all alone. No pictures to show for it all.
One trip for me to salt lake in January. A visit from Jess and Kyla( which I missed:-(( and 80 hour work weeks. Not much more to report.

trees, Plants and dogs

Trees are changing, Zoe is learning about Squirrels and hunting season has begun.

Magi and Zoe

Magi and Zoe have their hunting jackets on. It keeps them safe running through the woods
during Hunting Season.

Zoe turned a bit too sharp hunting squirels . Dena's potted plant was a casualty.

I made Zoe a new dog dish holder.
